About —
I’m a freelance designer and illustrator from Lisbon (Portugal).
I see design as a tool for the creation of visual solutions and experiences that can have a social impact and promote change, not as an end in itself. Working with both traditional and digital mediums, my professional experience includes Graphic Design, Editorial Design, Logo Design and Visual Identity, Branding, Packaging, Illustration, Digital Advertising, Interaction Design, UX/UI Design, WordPress Websites, and 2D Animation.
Having majored in Communication Design at the University of Lisbon, I also studied drawing, painting and engraving at Lisbon’s National Society of Fine Arts and Torino’s Fine Arts Academy (Italy). Later, an MA in Contemporary Art History at Lisbon’s NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities allowed me to pursue further specialization and broaden my understanding of Art Education and Art Therapy.
Co-author of eight publications (children’s books), with input on design, illustration, writing, and art direction. I also develop illustration workshops for children, mostly in schools, but also in educational events, museums, and social projects such as ONGs. In 2021/22 an art education project in collaboration with Danuta Wojciechowska and the Municipality of Sintra was developed to boost the education departments of Sintra’s Museums and stimulate a closer relationship with the council’s schools. Five museums and 20 schools are involved in this ongoing project.
Currently working between Lisbon and Madrid on design and illustration projects, and available for creative collaborations. To learn more about my work or for help with a project or idea, please get in touch 🙂
